A Message from our President

It is essential to have a peer group to turn to for support and encouragement, whether you are new to your role or an expert in the field of Volunteer Management. To be a member of this group means to be engaged in sharing best practices and learning from one another in order to become the most competent leaders possible in our discipline. I am certain that you will find, as I have, that by being involved in this organization you will develop nurturing and positive relationships that help you grow as an individual both professionally and personally. These lasting relationships with peers allow us to collaborate and build on our strengths at regional networking meetings, the annual educational conference, and by communication throughout the year. I encourage you to become a member of THVP, if you have not already, and invite you to lean on the members of this group so that we can support each other in our unique roles as leaders of the Volunteer workforce. – Allison Smith, THVP President
